Yup, this is P.deissneri. P.filamentosus and P.paludicola both have pointy tail. Mature specimen should have a ring of red on their tail and some on their dorsal.
I bought a few of these as P.deissneri a week ago, and now the colours are coming out I have noticed differences amongst them, so this is the first one. Is it P.deissneri?

Funny I was told elsewhere that the first pic [edit] is P. anjunganensis because it doesn't have the stripe running through the centre of the eye like P. deissneri
This 2nd pic is definitely not the same species, but which one is this.. P Sumatranus??

its like sp fire red leh!! the dot of the dorsel fin is used to identify the species and it sex M.P. anjunganensis doesnt have any spot on it top fun
sp "fire red" is P.sumatranus..yes, fish in the first picture is P.anjunganensis
