    ...

    NTD
pale, discoloured, darkening, similar to tissue necrosis?
    you can try furan-3
but ime you can condemn the whole batch
and you can forget about keeping suchlike tetras for a long long time
the spores apparently stay in the tank

agree with DEA....about 3 to 4 wks and the Furan 3 ...I have my doubts...

chc..how fast is your fish knocking off? If its like 2 to 3 days, then it may be FNTD(False Neon Tetra Diease)which is a very nasty external parasite that attacks the gills. signs are....heavy gill flap movements, locked jaw, and surface breathing.....

I lost 80 cardinals in one week....all wipe out completely.
So sad, u just sit there and watch one by one died !

I'm now having my 2nd batch from Gan(1st batch not from Gan), in the same tank, so far so good after 2 months.

you may be perhaps dealing with FNTD aka chilodonella....check for the above syptoms that I have posted above.....chilodonella may be dealt with salt at 2 tbsp to 5 gallons of water...but if you must use a med, coppersafe may be used, however I dont know how invertibrates are going to react to coppersafe.

Perhaps DEA may give you better insight.

first symptoms noticed is discoloration at the tail or mouth area then at later condition they will swim wif their head down and at the final stage lose their ability to and fall to the bottom of the tank. But now seems to be abit under controlled now losing so many now.

    hi chcs

its seems to me that you may be dealing with some kind of shock which may be either

    Temperature
    PH
    Chlorine

how did you acclamatise your fish prior to realising into your tank?
