    Hi All,

Need to get some opinion if anyone of u mix KNO3, KH2PO4 and micros/traces and store it. Note that the KNO3 and KN2PO4 is in liquid form (premix with water).

Will there be any issue if I do the above?

    Thanks
    JC

Why mix it when you can dump it in solid form? Just a question myself. Is it neccessary to premix it?

I dont mix them but prepare solutions of KNO3 and KH2PO4 separately so that by adding each quantity to the tank, I know that I am adding 10ppm NO3 and 2ppm PO4.

Wat I did is to measure exactly how much I dose each part each time and calculate the proportion.

But as I've only manage to get one dosing pump, I'll still need to manually dose the trace/micro, thus thinking if I can mix it all together and juz dose them together.

Thanks for the link. Interesting issue with Fe and PO4.

In fact, I had mixed done this mixture last night. Will be able to tell if there is any precipitation. My mixture comprise of these
    - ~250ml of KNO3
    - ~25ml of KH2PO4
    - 2 internal caps of JBL feropol (which suppose to have high quantity of Fe)

    Cheers

Did a check on my mixure today. Water seems ok. Not cloudy and no precipitation. Will try more again and monitor.

Not recommended since mixing macros with micros will produce precipitates.

Not sure if that's the reason why all the commercial fertiliser I have seen so far does not have PO4 in it. At most is N (from NO3) and K.

hmm last time got really use small glass bottle to measure and doese (2ppm of KH2PO4 and 20ppm KNO3-but dose lesser than that better).

Now don't really bother .. just rough measure than dose .. cos the mixing i dose is for 4ft tank never calculate the 5ft dosing .. hehe
