No idea, but have you tried securing your fan to 2 long spars with cable tie and then laying it over the tank?

    Eg.

it may be better to use spars and cable ties (as suggested by Vinz). no need to drill or cut (except the length of spars).

you should be able to metal bracket and screws from you neighbourhoods hardware shops. however, do note that you may need to drill holes on the metal brackets to hold the fan.

ps. rivets require a special tool to use and may crack the mounting holes on the fan.

    hi guys as promised....

the fan i bought from sim lim tower together with adapter. i got a friend to solder the connections together. then i hunted around hardware shops for screw and nut to hold my fan...viola!

    MY adapter

Which runs to connector soldered to my fan..

    Which runs to my fan....

Which (after much hunting) is riveted to my fan by screw+nut

End product...take note i had to use a penknife to break off the top part of the screw slot to fit my screw via the bottom screw slot into the fan as the screw was too short..

hope this would give newbies some idea of how a diy fan is assembled. however for "detailed details",kindly check out DIY forums...cheers
