For my case, I can see the red colour as small as 0.5cm in my 2 feet moss tank.

Me too. I can see mine turning red at around 0.5 cm big - although not as red as the adult. Strange thing is I also encounter some cherry shrimps fries completely transparent even if they're way larger in other tanks. Any ideas why?

I think the ones with less colours or transparent are males.

You are right, but I also understand that if the same family line cross breed too many times, the red colour will fade away too. That's why some of our memebers suggested to bring in new cherries from other LFS once in a while to maintain the red colour.

I've seen both yellow and green eggs successfully hatched into shrimplets. Don't know if any of them is hybrid species or not cause the shrimplets are all in the same tank.

Will be interesting to spot any differences between greenish and yellowish eggs hatched shrimplets when they grow up.
