    Hi,

Yesterday night noticed 2 of my sterba cories having symptoms which looks like the parts of its skin turning pale and like falling off, and end of fins alittle rot also. (as if bitten by other fishes in the tank) This morning, i saw my male apisto with white stuff on its body which i initially thought could be broken scales due to fighting with a female apisto and a ram in the tank.

But just now discover 1 of the cory has died!! I think the cories and the male apisto are having the same disease. Both are very inactive and the male apisto's fin is clamped up and hiding in a corner.
i've removed the remaining cory and placed it separately with airstone for aeration. Have decided to leave the male apisto alone till i get advice from anyone out there.

Any medication and advices?? should i remove the male apisto too. I'm worried it might be too stressful for the apisto. Had the fellow since 2 yrs ago and hope can save it!!!

    Hi Yampeck,
I have posted in Gorilla's post regarding the medication. As the bacterial attack has gone on for a few days, it is inevitable that some more fishes will not survive this ordeal. So got to be prepared for some more deaths. You got to be careful in future, from my past experience you can never fully destroy the bacterial. Usually when you replant or disturb the substrate too much, there will be another attack so bewarn. This attack usually takes place when your water parameters are off or still unstable but it is not really a very fatal disease like Neon tetra disease. Hope the information helps.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
