    Hi folks,

Not sure if this is a good place to post this. Thomas, could you move it if it is in the wrong place.

I brought my family to Tiong Bahru park yesterday and noticed that the water level in the pond is at a dangerously low level. The fishes in it including some kios, arrowana(s) and Red Tail Cat fishes seem to be suffering. Even the PNT, terrapins and frogs seem to be distressed too because of the mud.

Does anyone know who manages the park? And is there any one who lives nearby who could perhaps check on the water level and perhaps rescue the fishes if the level gets any lower. I estimate that there is only about 6-8 inches of water in many parts. Any lower and it would be the end of the poor fishes.

    /John

Call NEA or the town council. They might be able to help.

Thanks Sheng, for the pointer. I wrote to NPB and a nice lady called back to tell me that they have taken action. They have relocated the fishes to other ponds which do not dry up as do this one. The fishes according to the NPB officer were released by well-meaning owners of the pet who grew tired of them.
