Hi folks, I have a few adventureous outdoor friends in my hometown. One of them is jungle Ivy. She has more experience than me in adventure sport such as rock climbing, mountain climbing, kayaking, diving, caving & jungle trekking.

During the Chinese New Year holiday, Ivy, Jack (another outdoor friend from my hometown) and 3 visitors from overseas (Niel, Sandra & Nard) went to visit a Bidayu longhouse in remote area of Sarawak. After the visiting, they went kayaking in the upper part of Sarawak river.

Here are some photos taken by Jack:

    The staircase to the longhouse:

A native lady is drying the rice under the sun. Nard & Sandra are standing near the lady.

Jungle Ivy (left) is telling Nard & Sandra that those leaves are used for wrapping food. It is the leaf of "simpoh air" (Dillenia suffruticosa):

Nard found an interesting stone which looks like a shoe!!!

Ivy is just started her adventure tour business. I'll help her to take some photos for promotional purpose either this month or next month. Probably I'll be part of the team in the near future in eco-tourism.

If you wish to visit longhouses, jungle trekking in the paradise on earth or even kayaking in the rivers of Sarawak, you can email Ivy : [email protected]

I got camping trip coming up next.....so, I'll be very busy this weekend.
