today bring kids to SBG jalan jalan… no bugs, just flowers…

this is a marsh plant, found growing at the edge of Symphony Lake…

this one also marsh plant from Symphony Lake…

this one is quite common, along shaded footpaths…

    and then… Pisang!
growing across from the entrance to the Orchid Gardens. Any idea what species?

…and the hot hot weather is really turning half the Symphony Lake into a huge waterlily, lotus and hyacinth haven.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

only the red flower and pisang done with flash, as they are in the shade. the rest the sun was so freaking bright. you mean soft as in "out of focus" or "shady kind of lighting"?

I thought the 3rd pix lighting is quite harsh. the blue flower ok looks soft light but you can see the shadow on one of the petals. would have tried fill flash if not for the sun was so FREAKING bright I could hardly see the display INSIDE the viewfinder!

well I guess ETTL-II does work pretty well
