is this not the Stiphodon elegans?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Not too sure. The pictures sure looks different from what I have if it is.Originally Posted by hwchoy

Looks like the red neon goby that came along with the batches of blue neon goby. See them in a couple of places, including chinatown. BTW that is a very beautiful specimen.
Aren't they green in colour? So... different colour variants, same fish?Originally Posted by hwchoy
Yup, they're known as red neon goby over here too. Not quite sure what the scientific for is though.
Eric
Uncle says they are the same fish as the ones I bought and posted here.
Mine's still very washed and thus I wanna transfer them to my Endler tank but am afraid they might snack on Endler fry... Any advise?

well..you've got 120 over to spare right??
Well, that's not the point...
Don't want to lose fish that way... They are not feeders...
I am assuming that Stiphodon spp. are algae eaters... and these fellas are Stiphodon spp.... But my gobies seem to like brinehrimp and tubifex...![]()

Well, they could be omnivorous like SAEs... Who eats algae when young but start to eat brineshrimps and tubiflex too...Originally Posted by Justikanz
Think I may add the neons to the tank and the red ones to the vivarium...Feel safer this way... Since no one seems to know what to do...
