yes JC spot on ... the purple ones also
... always look at the bright side of life
They're kinda fragile to me, never last for more than 3 months.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
saw some of them at the shop beside NA... very nice fishes!
joe, red and purple are in the same tank? So the price for red and purple is the same?
Hmm... are they the same fish? If memory serves me right, they have not sorted out the sp "purple" yet.
they were in bags ... the purple ones more expensive
went 2day again red are in bags while purple in betta tanks
... always look at the bright side of life
So I see... the purple ones look like purple version of Nannostomus marginatus?
Oh yeah, coincidentallly, there is an article on the coral red Nannostomus mortenthaleri in the March 2006 edition of Practical Fishkeeping, including details on breeding them.
March edition? you mean its out already? didnt notice it when i was at Kino yesterday Anyway i have been waiting for these fellas for a long time.
Hey Joe, could you PM me the price they were selling at.
Thanks
Yup, reading it now. Plenty at Borders. Cheers.Originally Posted by Betta Almighty

Its not easy with these fishes. First, they have been living in the wild all their life. It takes time for them to acclimatize. Once they do, they will last. Mine already lasted 10 months and still going.
I bought from biotope towards end of 2005

they are a bunch of challenging fellas to keep. I used to have 8 of them in a 1 1/2 tank. Unfortunately, 1 of the males became extremely aggressive towards the others and murdered the rest. He died eventually. They lasted for 3 months. Have got no idea what got into him
In the PFK article, it is stated that if you do not keep a tank big enough for them, the dominant male will kill the rest of the males.Originally Posted by Betta Almighty
Don't wait anymore, go get the magazine! Hahaha...
Went to Colourful Aquarium (next to NA)... owner said that new stock will be coming in in 1-2days time...however $10/- each..ouch!
