My very initial thought..."Wah..new ADA soil ah, Americana izzit?".......then very soon I realised the mistake(?)(whatever you call it)...

This is 1 L pack, cost between RMB 12 to RMB 18..behind has got Chinese instruction, but it's in FAN TI, not sure it's targeted for Taiwan or HK market...but my friend told me it actually appeared in Shanghai market way before the genuine ones..

as for inside, it's like the shinny & harder version of the Amazonia....no detailed function information from the users yet.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Over at AF, a while ago, there a thread on Fake Genesis, the anti-chlorine!
Ever seem it at "the largest LFS in Singapore"!
There's 2 types of Genesis on sale there!
One with yellow label (stated "Imported from USA" on shelf) @$6!
The other in blue label (stated "Imported from Malaysia")@$3!
I think its kind of them to at least bring to the awareness of the customers the difference of the 2!
But like a double-edged sword, it also make pple wonder if the "Imported from USA" one are the real thing too!
Could be both from MY with diff labels!

I am not sure that this is entirely fake, as I was in HK the other day and a very well known shop that sell lots of ADA equipment [ADA tanks, ADA filters, ADA CO2 systems] and they were selling a range of sand in small bags just like the above, I bough one call Sarawak sand.

However the bag of sand that I got was “Nature Aquarium Goods’ on the front rather than “Nature Aquarium”… I will post a picture later

I'd imagine if it isn't in the catalogue it's not really their product. That and for 18RMB?? that's like.. $4 right?

Mm.. this coincide with the price slashing of ADA 9kg pack soil in HK 1-2 mths ago. In HK forum they are saying that is because ADA is going to come out with new soil hence the discount. The price during the price war was $23-25 sgd per 9kg pack !

Now i wonder is this the new range of soil by ADA.

spinex, doesn't ADA sell in liters?
Come to think of it.. EVERYONE should sell in liters... it'd make things a whole lot easier when you're buying for large tanks.

Saw in HK tonight a number of shops selling ADA soil, my 3lt packet that was $HK80 two weeks ago is now $HK60.

I saw ADA soil African, Amazon, Nile, and if my memory serves me correctly Malayan. Plus there were small packets of about 2lt size.
