Took a pic of my chocolate gourami for fun tonight.. gave it a darker kinda lighting..kekeke..

Pic is a little grainy thought... Using 100ISO.. why still grainy?
Could this be what you're talking about Benny?? particles causing "blurness"??

did you mop the glass inside with "sponge" and outside with windex?

when your fish is near to the tank glass, the dirt will become very apparent.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Love the red coloration on the fins!! Seem good on my monitor. Not dark at all.

And yes, your water column is not clear, causing the graininess and the white spotting in the picture.

    Cheers,

other than the points benny mentioned, i think your camera overexposed it. it was fooled by an all dark picture. compensate by reducing the exposure or just photoshop it.

pulled it into photoshop and checked the levels...off by quite a bit. the blacks are 'grey'. nice picture...

Benny, can impart some knowledge on how the black background was made blacker, sans the particles? Filtering mask?
