I bought 2 sparkling gouraimy 1 week ago and have since lost 3 cherry shrimps. On a few occasions I noticed the sparkling harassing the cherrys. I'm wondering if anyone can advise whether they will be good tank mates with shrimps especially cherrys?

Have you tried using rudolph rednosed shrimps. They are big eough not to be bugged by the fishes.

You can try some Boraras with your cherry shrimps. If you are intending to breed the shrimps, skip fishes or provide tons of cover (moss, pelia, etc).

I had a long observation of the tank and my conclusion is the gouraimi is definately the culprit and i've already removed them.

I'm thinking of keeping badis badis and is also wondering whether can they be kept together with cherrys cos dun wanna because don't want to buy and later have to remove them.

Badis badis would also hunt shrimplets... And should be more difficult to remove...
