    Hi guys,

I know some of you are going to be shooting tanks for the upcoming competition.

I'm going to post some good tripods here that's good value for money.

Here's a good one for S$40. I used to have this and it's a good beginners tripod.

Altenatively, borrow from one of us who have for the shoot.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Here's one for Slik pro 400DX. A good entry level tripod that's very sturdy.

Not a bargain at S$120, but definitely some savings over a new set for a 2 week old tripod.

Despite having the unpleasant chore of lugging my boss' 10lb Gitzo in my younger years as an apprentice, I'm still old school when it comes to tripods. That means, heavier=more stability.

D-SLRs are a lot heavier than cameras of my day, and modern autofocus lenses add more weight. So a heavy, stable tripod is still a good long term investment, unless you're NEVER going to take anything at slow shutter speeds.

Carbon-fibre tripods seem like a good but expensive alternative to aluminium, but how long can it last in the long term daily use is a question.
    Warm regards,
