    It seems like you need the power cable to use the LCD screen? If so, it would not be very useful for outdoor shot right?

    I saw one in action and it's actually not bad at all. It was used with a D70 at the time and I'm not sure if the guy still has it (he has since sold his D70 for D200).

    IIRC, it uses chargeable batteries.

    What is most interesting is the motion dector release. For those shooting birds in hides, there is a possibility to catch 40 winks without missing a shot when you are staking out a nest.
