Might not work. LH likes to move gravel around, so your plants will not stay rooted. However, if you use plants attached to wood, it might work.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
or perharps u like to plant them in pots.. that way less chances the LH can redeco them
I believe Aros are more dainty swimmers and LHs..... well, are not. Don't quote me on this cos me have not experienced in either of them.
dun bother.. LH will eat ur plants
Lh, hmm..even if you plant the plants in pots it's still going to be a gonna, why did i say that. reasons are particularly simple, LH moves gravel in huge masses large amount of gravel will be move from places to places even if the pots are going to hold the plants, the plants will reveal the pots and it's unsightly.
Secondly, LH love uprooting gravel which will cause the base fert of the tank to be introduce into the water colume and of cos create Algae Boom.
Cheers!

Yeah, the LH in my colleague's tank nipped off most part of the Nana leaves... like catepillas....

they look better with rockwork and very sparse plants rather than a real planted tank.
It is like putting a bear in a nice garden.
bear itself is nice
garden itself is nice
but they are not nice together.
One of the unique advantages of fishkeeping is that we can actually replicate the habitat/environment of certain fish we keep...it is often impossible with other animal pets.
so if we can make the best out of this, it will be great
although LHs are hybrids, they are still 100% cichlids. They have their roots in the great rocky lakes of central america.
I think most of the LH keepers who want to put plants simply want to have nice non-bare tank. Maybe they should consider doing up the tanks with nice rock work instead like where the LH ancestors come from.
