    Do you mean cycle the tank? What kind of tank do you have: planted, fish-centric, marine, etc?

    Recommended method:

    Buy hygro difformis and let it crowd the entire tank, a month or two later, remove and grow the plants you want.

    What i do:

    Just put in all the plants and see what happens. Expect losses.

    ya, agree with spilo.. plant heavily when u start out.. especially fast growers, once yr tank is cycled then u can remove them if u want
