also I think both are males. the females of Stiphodon looks quite different. do a search in the forum it has been posted several times.

These are the ones in the local shops now. I've got a few but haven't got around to shooting them.

I think it is either S. atropurpureus or something very very similar (there appear to be a few different ones but I have not heard the professional opinion of the ichthyologists). anyway the female may look quite different from the male.
