doesn't sound very cheap for used, new is probably $500+.

gee.. mail ordering a lens? sounds risky to me even if its $600!
if anything goes wrong.. you have no warranty to cover at all.
Aren't there no gray sets for Canon in Singapore?

    yorky,
i've purchased from this shop in the USA while i was in school. they are quite trust worthy to buy from. only have to specify US warranty or grey set w/o warranty. local grey sets are going for $920 to $890 i think.

    hwchoy,
i've seen one local used but it had a speck on the inside lens. i think the colour was beige and it didn't look like fungus. but was hesistant in case i take pictures with a beige blur in the centre! can this be removed with a cleaning service from canon? how much would it costs?

another set was going for $820 used.

so with this price i thought i might as well buy a new grey set. after all they both have no warranty...

if got speck in the lens then don't buy lah! also if you get the Canon try to get the hood too, the front element is quite near the barrel and susceptible to off normal light.
