Which camera are you using? Brand/model?
Usually for compact digital camera, there is a "macro" mode. Look for the button or dial that has a flower icon.Activating the macro mode will allow camera to focus closer.

would like to seek advice on how to take marco shot on my planted.

been trying a few shots, turned out very blur taken.

mine is Fujifilm S304.
i activated the macro mode, but cant seems to capture a clear image.
most common problem:
1. not enough light thus blur by camera shake
2. user actually trying to shoot fish and not plants, fish doesn't hang around to be photographed, hence blur
3. user did not wait for camera to confirm focus lock, hence blur lah!
