Hi lads,

here's a pic of a 1day old fry, the question who are the parents?

I know but do you? Haha

It's just a bit of fun to see what answers you give. Sorry about the quality of the pic it's the best my camera can do.

Looks like a puffer fish. How may made it?
They can really breed at home? Cool.

ya, agree that it looks like a baby puffer. Well, do you happen to have any puffer in your tank? If have, then almost can solve the mystery liao

hi lads, i know who the parents are cos theyre the only fish in the tank.
but i can tell you your'e well out it's not in that family group, a clue is they come from south america.
i agree they do look like a puffer but they aren't, have another guess now you have where they are caught.

ok, seems no one is trying any more guesses i'll tell you what the fry is, it's
Nanacara adoketa, so when you lads start to get fry of them asks benny or one of the other great photographers to take a pic of your fry.

That's a bloody good fry shot Mick!! And the female specimen is really looking in great shape! Just look at the ventral fins.

hi eric about 5 yrs ago they were as common as guppies in our area they were going for peanuts at fish auctions, but now they are pretty rare again, there's only me and a mate breeding them at the moment in the north of england from wild caughts that is.
