why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

while they were in the tub they decided to maw each other so badly they all got hardly any caudal left. that's why it took so long to get the pix I had to let them grow the fins back. #3 I think the fin is not quite th original shape, and the one which has strong blue stripe, is way gone, the caudal although grown back is like a war veteran, better don't show wait you bang your chest like King Kong.

you can see #2 also the caudal is disjointed.

#2? from Géry, He. guyanensis "An iridescent spot on the upper half of the caudal peduncle; 24 anal rays on average (humeral spot faint, triangular; caudal spot lozenge-shaped, not reaching to tip of middle caudal rays; 3-5 narrow maxillary teeth)

this fish only has 17-18 anal rays, so not the He. guyanensis. Could be the He. vorderwinkleri though.
