    thanks for the heads-up benny!

btw just got the STE2 and am flashing away when i have the chance.
but still need to learn about reducing the resolution and cropping to upload pictures.
i have one shot of the three line pencil in camouflage but no where like your picture.

For avian photography, these are less applicable except for fill flash. Unless you start shooting fishes..........

since we are on the subject of flashes...
would there be any difference/advantage with :

    a) STE2 with 2 x speedlight 580EX, versus

    b) STE2 with 1 x 580EX + 1 x 420EX

my reason for this question is attributed to chasing the fishes around my tank for that "perfect" shot. arms got tired really quick!

so i am contemplating getting another flash...
    i saw some adverts on CS for a 580EX and a 420EX.

Chasing is still needed even with multiple flash... The only thing is that we don't need to shift the flash all over the place while chasing after the fish...

It's not the equipment, it's the setup.

With the right set up, even one 420EX is enough.

chasing with the camera is bearable.
its chasing with the camera in one hand and the 580EX on the other thats a killer!!

    benny,
now i know why you use the M or S size fiveplan tanks!

for the benefit of the other folks that were not at the recent talk conducted by benny, the fiveplan tanks are also made of float glass (good quality) and thin (minimal distortion). also, with those tank sizes, the use of one flash is possible too.
