    Got a single specimen today, but died later in the afternoon. Somehow managed to capture it's image while it was still alive.



    It's from Jinsha Jiang(river) from the border between Sichuan and tibet. Average temp of the water in this 1584 km long river is only 13.3 c!

    the mouth structure....probably hard to survive in normal aquarium.

    that would be a fish that we over here could keep, even in the aquarium.

    I certainly hope they won't be caught and brought over here. I don't reckon people will be able to provide the kind of water conditions that it will strive in.
