Anyone just watch the Taiwan news on SCV channel 52

It shows what's happening inside a Japanese Hot Spring Spa.
With a hot spring pool with plenty of small fishs. People there just dip their feet in, the fish will just eat the dry skin. amazing!

I think it is reported in the papers as Garra rufa. Just wondering if they live inside the hot spring itself..

Its Garra Rufa... they originate from Hot Springs in Turkey. Was reading in another thread that Biotope have had a recent shipment of them but lost them.... http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=20135

I think its the water quality not the skin. Not that the water quality at the shop wasn't good.. but just not suited to this particular fish.. coming from springs, i would expect the fish to be in water of high mineral content or TDS. What kind of minerals i dont know..but maybe its acclimatisation??? Thats the only thing i can think of right now that could have affected the entire batch this fast...
It would be good to find out what went wrong cos its a lesson learnt...and i, for one, would like to keep and learn about this fish if it ever comes in again.
