Hygrophila polysperma or Hygrophila stricta will both grow well without Co2 injection and in relatively low light.

How about something in purple or red? Thinking of using the plant as background plant in a 2 feet tank

in low light.. your red plant would likely not stay red... it'll most probably fade to orangy or around there.. if you want..can try rotala rotundifolia

My 2 ft tank is actually using a 55w PL light, however, It is quite heavily planted. I am worried that the plants will start to thin out greatly at the bottom. This is happening to my Difformis right now. I will post a pic of my tank soon.

Are you using CO2 in this tank?

I have mananged to keep Myriophyllum tuberculatum (Red) in my 2-ft tank with 51W of light and no CO2. The growth is very slow and remained red.
