    Hi there.
I had about 10 cardinal tetras & their colour change to translucent.
This happens towards the end or after 8 hrs of lighting.

Can experts tell me what wrong with it or it is normal?

Hi c00l personally I don't think there is any problem with your cardinals. I used to have cardinals in my tank and they always turn translucent after the lights go off. I think this is one way for them to protect themselves in the wild, their natural instinct. They lose their colour at night to make themselves less prominent to predators when they are sleeping. This happens to my discus as well. Sometimes when i get home late at night they usually crowd at one corner and turn black look just like when they were sick but they recover their colour after i switched on my lights for some time.
    Best Regards
