u can find out more abt these guys with the link below. i have two in the past and yes they grew very quickly but very interesting to have in a tank cos they were always hanging upside down somewhere!! []
here
hello,
could someone direct me to a website with info on upside-down catfish? i've 3 and they seem to be doing a good job cleaning the gravel and driftwood. however, they've grown noticeable bigger in the 2 weeks that i got them. i don't think cleaning crew should be the focal point of an aquarium. if they do grow big and fast, i might give them away.
any info is much appreciated.
cheers,
roy
i don't really think of them as cleaning crew
no doubt they're really vacumning the gravel, but i like them for their antics ^ ^
they don't disturb other fish and they swim upside down
very cute, imo
how big is your tank? a 4ft tank should be able to hold them comfortably
like i said, they're very nice accent fish
thanks rain and much appreciated!

oophs! thanks DEA and much appreciated too! you're right they are accent fishes. they are very interesting indeed and very often see them hanging upside in the driftwood "caves". don't really see them much unless they are feeding. i've a 3.5 feet tank and approximately 70 US gallon. having them is not a problem - just that i would like to make room for the main occupants. still can't decide whether they're gonna be cichlids, tetras, etc.
