Does anybody know if Midas jurveniles look like LH babies?
Wanted to get some for my freshly converted uncle-in-law but when the fish farm guy showed them to me, I got a shock for they all look like LH babies [:0]
The fish farm owner told me that they will change colour to red and orange when they grow older, is that true? He was selling them for $15/piece size about 1" - 1.5", is that considered ex$$?

it is hard to say
because even LHs may look different when they are still young, because different "breeds" of LHs have different origins !
depends on whats dominant in them.
Midas and RD babies generally have bigger and more shapeless heads compared to the "normal LH"
very ex lah for rd fries.more cheaper somewhere but forget liao.will keep u update nxt wk.....

Yah, I know they are EX$$, the owner is a $$face$$. Every piece of cichlid fry, he try to sell at $15. I had to bargain until $10...but still EX$$.

dun buy from the shop loh.try c328 and harlus 63.these 2 r my favorite hunt outs for cichlids and price quite reasonable for JUVENILE only...havent seen adult one before.......
p.s last time 63 got some adults but now no more...

Yah, I just been to C328 and they got the the same fish. Its much bigger and its much cheaper, I am just so pissed-off with that fish farm owner for pulling such stunts. NO MORE BUSINESS FOR HIM
For all, please be warned. Be very wary of the cichlid farm next to Qian Hu.
