if it were a risk you wouldn't see so many spectacular planted tanks with fish around
so, i don't think so

Thanks DEA,
just bought a bottle of JBL fertilizer. I have a tank currently with fries. I'm kind of afraid the liquid fertilizer might have some effects on the fries since they are still so small.
i'm really new to aquatic plants so kind of jumpy with the different chemicals
Hi, DEA!!! I know - I've been gone a LONG time. Well, I'm back.
Fertilizers manufactured specifically for aquarium use should be safe as long as you follow the recommended dosage. Some people with densely planted tanks will add much more than recommended with no ill effects (don't do this, though, unless you really know what you're doing). One thing to be cautious of is the addition of trace metals. Again, as long as you're following the directions, you should be okay, but heavy metals (like iron) in excess of "trace" levels will make your invertebrates (shrimp, snails) very unhappy.
Happy planting!

welcome back naomi ^ ________ ^
how's the sulfate of potash coming along? heheh
I used it in my 5 gallon for months. No problem.
But make sure you follow the manufacturer instruction. too much maybe toxic.
Normally added by few Drops only for 5 Gallon.
