i'm getting a pacific cool month end. From my friend,it's better cos of the back up service and choice of spare parts avaliable IN singapore itself.
There are lot of considerations –
- If it were my spare tank and there were no expensive items inside then I would go for the cheapest
- If it was to be placed in the living room, the most attractive & quietest
- If I wanted to upgrade in the future, I would get a chiller that has more capacity than current requirements, 1/3 or 1/2hp
- If air pass-through the chiller from the front to the back, then would go Daeil
- If air pass-through the chiller from the bottom to the back, then would go Teco
Too many ifs…
For me, certainly not pacific coo, too noisy and bulky, even if it is is the living room instead of the bedroom
Oh, the rare old Whale, mid storm and gale. In his ocean home will be. A giant in might, where might is right. And King of the boundless sea.
Hi , Sorry in advance if i'm abit off topic ... I currently just got a Hailea HC-150c , mind if i ask is this chiller good enough to chill a 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft tank to 24c - 25c ? Please advise ... Thanks in advance ....
Bro your canister will not be enough flow for any chiller rated to handle a 3ft tank. you will need at least 1200 - 1500 L/hr after factoring in restriction for media.
I chose the Hailea because I've not had any problems with either one of my HC-150As (both are over a year old)
If budget is not a concern of course go with Teco or Arctica, newer the better.
For the tight budgeted, a 2nd hand resun CL450 can be bought at $150+ and therefore quite affordable.
Cool,
thanks for the info man
sorry to hijack this tread, would like to ask how long can a chiller last? brand is resun and is eheim ecco 2332 flowrate enough to handle resun cl 300?

My friend had problems with Resun. Noisy and after less than 2 years of usage, it totally breakdown and water leak out. As compared to my Hailea, i'm still using!
If money not a problem, get a Teco or JBJ/Artica.
