thought you do not have the manual
nice of you to post it here.... mods, pls stick it
As I am one of the many AQ forumers here that purchase 2nd hand goods, most of the time, we're not lucky enough to get the proper manuals to the items that we purchase, I've managed to get hold of the chiller manual (owner passed it to me) and I have noticed that many of you out there are in need of the manual (original).
I have scanned a copy of the Resun CL650 chiller manual and converted it to PDF, so you guys can have a manual of your own. Simply download it and keep it in your computer and you may refer back to it again.

Mods/Admins, maybe you would like to sticky this and have whatever manuals you can scan and save, would be a timer-saver and believe that who need the manual will be ultimately grateful

I will need to do a re-scan of the last page again, seems that my scan is not good enough.

That's a sweet thing to do, Grey_fox. Much appreciated, I think alot of people is going to benefit from this.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
I'll try to give back to the community in my own that has provided me with so much

In fact it cover 3 model of resun CL series 300/450/650.
Maybe changing the title of this thread to "Chiller Manual - Resun CL300/450/650 will be even better for awareness.
Oh yah.. mods, please assist!

by the way Grey_fox, how much did you brought the 2nd hand chiller?
Just joined this site. My CL 450 chiller isn't chilling anymore and I tried to download your manual, but the link is no longer valid. Any chance you could either repost it or send it to me?
Thanks,
Gary

Thanks I have just got a 2nd hand 650 and this was exactly what I was looking for.
I have a question. I have a resun CL650 chiller. I set 26C, cooling time is about 50 minutes. Then idle for 100 minutes then start cooling again. Is this considered too long cooling time. My flow rate into the chiller is 900L/hr.
Just in case you guys are unable to view the PDF document, simply do a right click and choose "Save target as..."

Hi
Are you using canister with 900l/hr flowrate? if yes than the output flowrate after passed filter media will reduce properly to 600h/lr depend on the amount of filter media you have.
If you using external pump than I think you can consider 1200h/lr it might help to reduce the chilling time. But are you running it on the 5ft tank? cause I use CL650 for my 5ft before and the timing very close to what you experienced.
Now upgrade to C0500 + eheim 1260 and passing spoilt canister filter with some ceramic rings, and it take 10 mins to chill from 27-25 and stop for about 50mins. My light watt = 216W. Just the fan sound like jet plane, more noisy than CL650.
FYI,
I have updated the download link of the manual for the chiller unit.
