imo it's not so much a problem as a symptom of overfeeding
some fish will eat them too
My 1 Ft breeding tank has been infested with Flatworm for months.
So far no fish die from it. I leave them there as they scope up all dead matters like rotten eggs, dead frys and leftover foods.
You can try to scrap them for months but you never get to clear them and their numbers grow in uncontrollable manner.
Recently I noticed my Corys seems to get Real Fright when they accidentally touch them on the glass or gravel with their whiskers and prompted me to look into the issue real hard. As looks like my Corys HATE them.
Initially I thought they are Nematode Sp. but just able to confirm today is Planaria.
Found this Website that provide superb details and how to eradicate them.

Nematode Sp. maybe but the Planaria I have, so far no success.
