    Hi I have a gold fish which has got an injury, i am not sire how? but half of his fin bones are snapped in half, it is still danggling there. He doesnt seem disomforted by it at all, but i am concerned about it. WHat do i do? I am scared of things happening to him. Like diseases etc. Does anyone have any suggestions of how i can treat this issue. Any suggestions would be greatful!

    Hi Samantha,
    Welcome to Aquatic Quotient, you need to perform a small operation on the little fella. Prepare a towel, soak it in water, fold it to a manageable size, catch the goldfish and place it on it. placing one corner of the towel over the head to calm it. Use a sharp scissors or blade and cut the fin next to the broken bone. Don't worry, they don't feel anything. The bone and fin will grow back in no time.
    Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.

    Thanks for your help, how do i stop any infections which may occur! What kind of infections may occur. I am just worried about my little fish.
