Try treating it with salt?
Hi folks,
I have recently adopted a somewhat sick adult archerfish and wanted to try and save it. May have been stressed out due to previously bad water conditions.
Main symptoms at present are clamped fins and fallen off scales. Quite hard to tell whether there are sores on the body.
This is probably not enough info but if anyone can bring out a few suggestions based on these observations, you're welcome to do so.
Cheers
Tim

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Yeah, have been treating it with 1% w/v salt solution for the past 24 hours. So far so good...
Well, looks like the salt did the job. The archerfish looks and acts far better now. Thanks for your suggestions.
Well, I would suggest keeping the archers in brackish waters for the sake of their long term health since they are brackish fish...
