This fish looks like a Siamese Algae Eater, aka SAE, as the name imply it eats algae for a living. Thay also eats fish foods and gets greedy and grows fast.

SAE eats the dreaded BBA, and older ones prefer to eat fish food.

Some other algae eaters like Otocinclus, or Otos favouring soft green algae, and Yamatoes shrimp eats hair algae.

My two nice cute SAEs also helps to eat some of the fungus on my new driftwood in the tank... and they give off lots of poop... white for my case.

I think they're curious fish too; they'll come and investigate whatever stuff you insert into the tank.

Hi, does anyone knows if SAE, would attack other fishes? because recently, noticed 2 of rams ended up dead, suspect its the work of SAEs.

very unlikely, Rams are more dominant in behaviour. They could have possibly died due to poor water condition as they are very susceptible to it.

My new SAE obviously can't read. 3 hours into the tank and it's started sucking on my larger fish instead of the yummy algae salad bar.

I don't really see them around any lfs despite the fact that they sound pretty commonly available.
