Cost of China chiller is OK, but running cost will be high. Planning to add fan to my tank. Any recommendation on which fan to get.

Does tilting a fan really make it cool better??? Whats the logic? Anyone can explain?

My 2 cents of what I know.

Tilting a fan at an angle will provide a larger area of water surface being cooled. Also, the air being used by the fan which is tilting is not 'recycled' unlike a fan which is pointing straight down. The tilting fan will suck in air and disperse it over a wider area and also moves it away to remove any 'heat' that happens to be there.

Another tip is that cold air is preferable. So if the weather is cool, open up your windows to let more cool air into your home. Cool air ( as I know ) will lessen the chance of water evaporation as compared to a room temperature air ( around 29-30 degree? ). Adequate water movement also contribute to distribute the cooled water in the tank.

Not an expert here but this is what I know. Hope this helps!

Have a 5-Plan tank and had this problem as well. I bought a clip-on Dymax fan and the clips are far apart enough to fir pass the bracings. No issues.

Yikes! Didn't notice that this thread is 1 yr old already.... apologies.
