    such proteins are removed by protein skimmers.. activated carbon remove chemicals that caused the water to turned yellow.. activated carbon will make the water crystal clear..

    Now I've no worries of using activated carbon in my filter.

    er try not to leave it in ur tank for too long. 3 weeks to be on the safe side. the absorbed organic stuff might be released back in to ur tank again if the carbon is exhausted
