I've got Echinodorus parviflorus 'Tropica' in my tank and many of them are sending out runners (vertical).

Just wonder, how do I propagate these? Snap off the branch close to the plantlet's root? Roots are visible and growing long, plus the plantlet has sprouted quite a number of leaves as well.

My Echinodorus parviflorus 'Tropica' has has plantlets on the runners. However I do note that the plantlets will grow to about a diameter of 20cents size, and they will not grow anymore. Roots can be seen at the base of the plantlets.

Read from another book that you can cut them off, leaving about 1cm of runners on each end of the plantlets, then plant into the substrate. Guess these ends is still providing nutrients to the plantlets while the roots seep down to the basefert.

My Echinodorus 'Red Diamond' plantlets are also growing on the substrate now. Lets see how things go.
