... err... I don't dream about water parameters.

I simply use water out of the tap... add a pinch of KNO3... that's about it.

It is not so much about experience... there is no one set of "ideal" water parameter. Plants/critters adapt to conditions... just learn their needs and provide them.

PS: Your " " smiley seems to look like you are picking a fight... please be a little careful as this is a public forum and misunderstanding can easily happen.

You can read my site if you wish, it'll likely give a range of parameters.
I'm pretty sure that was what you wanted to know, the ideal ranges for plant growth.

    I'll tell you this, though.......

Watch the plants, they are more important as a rule.
SG water is pretty good over all, this group can tell you what specific issue they have in SG and what works well.

CO2 is perhaps the most testy issue and parameter.

95% of all algae/plant growth related issues are CO2 related.

This is a public forum for the discussion of the aquarium hobby and to make friends with similar interests. For the enjoyment of the members who come here for those reasons, the moderators take their job seriously in keeping the peace within the forum. Where necessary, we will take the necessary action against disruptive members.

BC was simply doing his job by giving you feedback about how you might be coming across to the rest of the forum members.

We also like to maintain the forum as a useful and relevant source of information. It is extremely irritating to search the forum for information using keywords and end up with loads of meaningless and irrelevant posts. As such, we discourage inappropriate amounts of chit chat and foolish posts within the main topic forums. For chit chat, we have the Members' Lounge where the forum members can talk about un-related topics or simply just chill out and chat.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
