Perhaps you can give us more info about your tank?

As long as your plants are healthy and growing, they don't have to bubble. I NEVER had my plants to bubble except for 2 occassions...

    1) My plants were recently trimmed, the bubbles appear from the trimming points.

    2) My CO2 got into the cannister filter and was blown out finely from the output...
    Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/

    I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

Check your CO2 inject via the PH/KH rather than bps, hit about 30ppm or more which is about 6.6 at KH=4. Just need to saturate the tank with Oxgenated plants such as riccia (Not recommended unless you want to keep ur hands wet 1-2 times a week ) or hornworts, etc.

But I must warn you, it gets nice for a few days (I call it "the cheap thrill") then after that, algae fighting is on the line if you are not injecting enough CO2 or dosing enough to keep up growth rate.

Have fun and share your experience.

An afternoon trimming my watery garden is better
then an afternoon with a therapist

I have abt 110ppm. I'll get a pH meter later this week.

I think I better not go for the cheap thrill..

    Thanks

I would think the plants are doing ok[could be better] and flow is too high for good pearling to be observed.

You need at least 4 watts per gallon of lights to get the plants bubbling and the height from the top of the substrate to the lights not more than 35 cm. My tank is like 7UP, prawns busy like don't know what are they picking at. plants also growing sideways instead of upwards.

It's not just "Step1: Add Water, Step2: Add Fish" If everything else don't work, add plastic plants and fish
