I think you can just cut and replant them, but do leave some leaves for the 'mother' plant to grow again... by a few days/wks you should able to see more propagating from the cutting...
Friends,
I got a pot of 'Tropica' pogostemon helferi from my cousin.
But I notice after 3 weeks it seems growing very fast and reach almost 5-6 cm.
Anybody can tell/share experience how to propagate this plant?
Thanks a lot for any clue...

I do know of people who cut off the top and replant it the same way you do to a stem plant. Alternatively, the mother plant will "set off runners" and grow new baby plantlets by the side of it. The latter way of growing will look nicer if you are using them as a foreground since the growth is more compact.
Cheers!
wow, your downoi sure grows fast.
Mine not growing in terms of height after 2 weeks.
Only more roots keep growing .
May i know how many hours do u on your light?
Hi Keneth & Kadios,
