black spot on lotus leaves

Hi.. Can anyone help me with my lotus? It is putting out small leaves, none if which stand alone above the water. ow there are black spots ppearing onthe leaves, which grow until they merge into one giant black spot. What is this? Thanks for any help youall can give me.
