There was also Chryl... both quite inactive now. There was also another one that received quite a welcome from the lao jiaos some time back when she posted a "i'm back" message.

It's not just "Step1: Add Water, Step2: Add Fish" If everything else don't work, add plastic plants and fish
maybe they are avoiding you?

Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Kindly watch your response. Be sensitive and not said such statement. I have known of a few female members whom scape are not bad. End of the day, this is not a gender only hobby. It is a hobby which both gender can enjoy. And in AQ, we strongly welcome female hobbist to come in and share.
My 2 cents worth.

This isn't a site for providing dating service. So i guess it's irrelevant to know if we are male or female. Isn't it?
maybe the female members are busy with other commitments or they might just be viewing and not posting for the time being. they might be reading what is posted here. anyway, i have seen their posting before and their knowledge and creativity in aquatics is certainly worth to be taken seriously.
we can give valuable contribution be it whether we are guy or gal. Or maybe AQ just doesn't have that much female members only, maybe other forums out there have tons of female members

I find such topics tend to go overboard after a while... So, I think I will just post a reminder first...

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Hi mods, I think this thread may well go astray soon, could we close this thread? It doesn't look good to newcomers and may even scare them away from AQ....
I assume we come to AQ to learn more about our hobby rather than anything else right?
my 2 cents

I notice the admins here can pass funny remarks and make fun of forumers who cannot do otherwise. Is it a norm here to answer questions with funny remarks? How does one qualify to join as AQ Moderator?Originally Posted by hwchoy

sigh, clearly you are denser than I thought. I was hoping the light-hearted remark will make you see the light but I guess not.

hwchoy, some times it's really hard to get message across like this.
One remark is okay, more admin join and rub it in???Originally Posted by hwchoy

Hi there!
Yes, there's 1 lady member here and is disappointed at the sexist remarks. Ladies don't just play with barbie dolls or shop for shoes & bags, some do all these and keep fishes too. I have a 2ft tank that I keep killer fish, whereas my boyfriend gasping gurami is a fish killer. I keep predatory fishes and he keeps wimpy fishes called boraras. He's better at plants though, most turn furry after some time......
