    Was very forunate to have stumbled across this sub-adult yesterday.

    That's the hard facts of animal world, don't eat well then will fall sick and become prey. Think this bird don't know how to hunt or got some hadicapp
    It's not just "Step1: Add Water, Step2: Add Fish" If everything else don't work, add plastic plants and fish

    actually this bird is in perfect shape and good health.
    it was observed feeding on ants, worms and some other insects (Shama's natural diet) in the 1 hour that i was shooting it.

    it look "ugly" because its moulting, sheding its "baby" feathers and developing adult plumage.
