Don't think that's a killi. Looks like a peacock gudgeon, Tateurndina ocellicauda.

Goby? Wow... It's colour can be as colourful as those in the marine tank ones...

Benny! I don't want the "chee-chee-lids"! I want this one!

ps: But first, shall read up on it first...

its not a goby, its a gudgeon, and most of the time it doesn't have colours anyway near this intense. although it is a very very nice fish.

They sell this at C328 a while back. Pretty creatures.

It's hard to find females in HK as the breeders purposely don't release them.

Mine spawned twice in the community tank but nothing came out. Couldn't capture the process as it was done under the driftwood, at the end I gave away my pair.

Read that the sexing can be done by looking for the black strip along the fins? But some websites also say that males also have the black strip... So in this case, the picture in the first post is a female? Or male?

sorry about that choy, when they first come to the UK the name they were sold under was goby and still is.
sexing at one time with this fish was simple, but i think with them being bred in such numbers theyr'e losing that trait.
the fish in the pic is a female.

it is great to know the british trade persists in repeating their mistake.

Common name is 'Peacock Goby'. It is a sleeper goby and not as easy to keep in a community tank. Was rather commonly seen in Singapore LFS about a year back... Then never see them again. They seem to need live food and seem to do well in smaller species tanks.

    Oh, they are absolutely beautiful!...

What is your definition of "normal" LFS? I have seen them at C328 and TB Ben a couple of months back. There are sighting reports from NA or KF before as well.
