hmm... you can try ocean free
works okay to me when i used blackwater last time
though seriously i think you can just save the money and don't use any
Hello,
I need to hear from regular uses of this product:
I bought a bottle of AZOO blackwater today. It seems application is once weekly, and after applying at the specified concentration, water turns lightly tea-coloured.
Questions: For those who apply this frequently - is it really necessary to dose so frequently? I had the impression that the effect was rather long-lasting(ie add once a month or WC) Where do the humic acid and other tannins go? Are they actually 'used up' by the plants?
Also, this should be more subjective - I am using this because it is supposedly beneficial for altums and discus, which I have in a planted - can I slowly reduce the application to maybe 10% recommended dosage? after the fish are more acclimitised?because the colour of the water is not very attractive for planted...
Lastly, ..haha...are there better brands that the pros would recommend?!
thanks

If you already have driftwood in your tank, they are bound to leech humic acid and tannins. So it's not necessary to use the additional black water extract.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I'm using nature's way - Ketapang Leaves
