why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Nikon D80 + Tamron 90mm
The DOF too shallow for the butterfly. Before I can adjust, my wife scared it away...

Power lenses you have! F90X! Wow!
What kind of photography you are into?

nice shots!
yeap! old dinosaur who is using and enjoying film.
been using the f90x for almost 10 years. no plans to switch to digital yet.
prefer taking pictures rather than tweaking images on a pc.
main interest in landscape, travel as well as portraits and candids for my children.
17-35 is a recent addition. still learning how to make full use of the lens. really wide!! love the silence, speed and focus manual overide of the af-s.
35-70 is my workhorse lens. sharp but a little slow in focusing; especially when trying to track children running around. tried some flowers macro shots (has a pseudo macro functionality) on this lens and reasonable shots are achievable. however, quite way off from a dedicated macro lens.
80-200 mainly as a portrait lens. good bokeh. being a screwdriver lens, a body with powerful focusing motor is required.
