Experienced many times from home SCV maxonline for the past few weeks. Today experienced it at around noon time.

There was some kind of outage today at 2 plus for about 1 and a half hours (according to a 3rd party monitoring service). I just checked the server and it does not seem that anything was wrong. I apologise that I cannot seem to solve the issues at all. I'm still looking into it.

At 2am, I had problems accessing AQ. Nothing special, no special messages was shown... The page just don't load, as if I have no internet access. But other sites have no problems.

Can you give me more specific time periods that you tried. Because as far as I know the site was up the entire time except for about 1.5 hrs from 2pm onwards on Friday.

    vinz,

I get these problems intermittently and can happen any time. However, mornings seem to be mostly fine.

The issue is that DNS could not resolve the URL. Confirmed via ping and tracert tests.

    This happens with Starhub Maxonline.

Opps, sorry. Been busy and forgetful. Valice just caught me on MSN and reported the problem again. I just called StarHub and basically, they need some info from your PC for them to troubleshoot.

So if you are on MaxOnline and you are getting extended periods where you cannot access AQ, go to http://utilities.starhub.com/. You can only use this while you are on MaxOnline. The utilities will NOT work on Firefox. It will work on Internet Explorer. I did not test any other browser.

First, you will see a bunch of information about your StarHub/MaxOnline account. Click continue.

Next, you will see in green "Bandwidth meter | Ping | Traceroute | Ipconfig | FAQ". Click Traceroute.

At this point, you may or may not get some message from your browser about some certificate or security issues, and will be asked whether you want to run the application, etc. Click on yes, or run, or whatever it si taht tells the browser that you want to continue.

You should then see a Traceroute section on the webpage. In the edit box next to "Enter the website you wish to trace", type www.aquaticquotient.com. Then, click "Start".

In the text window under that, you should now see "Tracing route to aquaticquotient.com [some numbers here]" and a whole bunch of lines with other information.

Wait a few minutes until you see "Trace Complete". Then click on the "Here" below the text window. This will send the traceroute results to StarHub and their tech support team should call you back soon.

If you have no idea what I just wrote above, give StarHub a call at 1633 and tell them that you cannot access AQ. Best to do this when you know that other people can access AQ at that moment, but you can't.

    SCV users still have problems?
I think they might have solved the problem with some DNS servers which some of the SCV users are on...

I got my access again finally on Saturday night...

Thanks Vincent (I mean Valice) for pursuing the issue with them. Have they called back?

The problem seems to be resolved for now, for me at least. Haven't got any DNS issues since.

Justikanz, no need to worry about converting to Maxonline. So far, no major issues with them. Only called them once since I was with them about a year ago and it was solved in that instance.

They only called me again to get my secondary DNS ip... After that, no more contacts and I managed to get onto the site...

Unable to access AQ again about 30 minutes ago. StarHub tool gives this message :

Unable to resolve target system name www.aquaticquotient.com.
